Once you are ready to begin the home buyer education and counseling process through the Portland Housing Center you will need to register. The registration will allow our staff to assess your needs and assist you with deciding which services are right for your situation. There is a non-refundable materials fee. It is $65 per household. This covers two years’ worth of homebuying services including classes, unlimited home buyer counseling, and a tri-merge credit report.

Because it is such a great time for first-time homebuyers to purchase, we are experiencing high demand for classes. Once you have completed registration, please allow up to 5 business days for a member of our staff to review your information and contact you to schedule the appropriate class and/or counseling session.
